PNM Awardees Honor NMGIC

NMGIC Honors Three for Service & Achievement

Dr. Stanley A. Morain, Dr. Bobby J. Creel, and Rich Friedman, three people long associated with the geospatial community in New Mexico, were presented with service & achievement awards during the NMGIC Spring 2010 Meeting on May 7th, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. (full story here)
Bobby Creel

Bobby Creel, Associate Director of the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), passed away on February 15th, 2010. The NM geospatial community, the WRRI, NMSU, and the state in general, lost a good friend, who was a truly helpful "do anything for you" kind of guy, as well as a skilled researcher and manager. He will be greatly missed. (more ...)
NMGIC 2010 Meeting
Information
NMGIC's Spring 2010 Meeting was held Friday, May 7th, in Albuquerque at the Rotunda. The theme was "Integrating Imagery and LiDAR", with many presentations by leading technology vendors (and door prizes!). In addition, there was a no-fee-to-attend Workshop the previous day (8am-12pm on May 6th) on "Mapping with 3D LiDAR" at the same location.
