NMGIC Fall 2009 Meeting
NMGIC's Fall 2009 Meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 13th, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. The theme for the meeting is "Geospatial Stew: A Hearty Mix of Technology & Techniques".
Traditionally the NMGIC fall meeting focuses on users....their projects, techniques, and lessons learned. It also is a time for conversation and visiting with colleagues and friends. This year's fall meeting continues this tradition with a potpourri of goodies.... a Geospatial Stew!
The meeting will be held at the typical NMGIC Meeting location: the Rotunda of the UNM Science & Technology Park at 801 University Blvd. Registration begins at 8:30am, and the meeting proper is slated to begin at at 9:00am; we should be done by 3:30pm or so (see tentative agenda below).

- 11:00 - 11:30 The International Charter on Space & Major Disasters: A New Mexico Connection ( Tom Budge)
- 11:30 - 11:40 House Joint Memorial (DoIT Sec. Marlin Mackey/Mike Baca)
- 11:40am - 1:00pm Lunch (provided) and networking
- 1:00 - 1:45 "Geospatial Horror Stories" (Rick Koehler)
- 1:45 - 2:15 The "New" RGIS Unveiled (Karl Benedict)
- 2:15 - 2:45 Health Equity Atlas (Kurt Menke)
- 2:45 - Door prize drawings
A workshop is scheduled for the previous day (Thursday, November 12th, 2009) at the same location as the meeting on Friday, with the topic of " Geospatial Business Analysis and Project Management: Stop Talking About It, Get It Done!
