NMGIC Geoseminar Series – Fall 2020

NMGIC is excited to announce a series of four virtual seminars throughout the month of October.  These seminars will feature a short talk by a NMGIC member, questions and answers, and an open mic discussion/networking opportunity to follow.  All seminars will last approximately 1 hour from 12pm – 1pm MDT on Thursdays in October.

Zoom connection details will be released via email shortly before the seminars.  We hope that you can join us!

Now you can get involved in the process!
New Mexico Geographic Information Council is seeking Nominations for the Board of Directors.
Self-Nominations are accepted and encouraged!  

Nominees for the Board of Directors must be general NMGIC members in good standing; legal residents of the State of New Mexico; willing to serve at least two years; and supportive of NMGIC’s mission, goals, and objectives.   

We are now accepting nomination​s (including self-nominations) for candidates to serve on New Mexico’s premier organization representing the geospatial community.    
A nomination should include a brief bio (one or two paragraphs) to introduce the candidate to the general membership.

2020 Spring Conference

Dear NMGIC Member,

The NMGIC 2020 Spring Workshop and Conference, which was to be held on April 16th and 17th, has been canceled due to health and safety concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will be reaching out to our confirmed speakers and vendors to make arrangements for our Fall conference, scheduled to take place in October.  More information will be available in the coming weeks.

Parking at the UNM Rotunda parking garage will require a validation code.
How to use the validation code: 818156

  1. Park in any numbered stall
  2. Proceed to nearest pay station
  3. Enter stall number
  4. Select “STP Visitor” from the screen display
  5. Enter code number
  6. Collect Receipt
    There is no need to return to your vehicle to display the receipt. The pay station will track the validation by the stall number.
