Scholarship for Drone Wetlands Research

NMGIC is proud to support NMHU graduate student Katherine Ottmers!

New Mexico Highlands University environmental science management graduate student Katherine Ottmers will be using drones to conduct innovative New Mexico wetlands research, thanks to a scholarship from the New Mexico Geographic Information Council.

NMGIC Spring Workshop and Conference

We had a very successful 2019 Spring Workshop and Conference! Thanks to Allpoints GIS for holding a great ArcGIS Pro workshop on Thursday. LiDAR Map Status – March, 2019

This is the LiDAR coverage situation for New Mexico as of March, 2019.  The striped polygons will be available in the Spring of 2019 and the yellow areas will be available in 2020. Other areas are available now from EDAC at UNM, or Kerri Mich at the NRCS.  

This means we will have statewide coverage publicly available by 2020!  

All data shown here meet the USGS 3DEP QL2 standards or better and as part of that program are to be publicly available.
